Biography

Dr Tracy Roake is the Head of Education and Student Affairs at Danat Al Emarat Hospital, she is also adjunct instructor at the Fatima college of Health sciences teaching the art of Nursing in Abu Dhabi. She has had a wide range of experience in nursing management. Tracy is also the Co- chair for the Clinical Practice Guidelines committee and the Deputy Chair for the Resuscitation committee as well as an active member in the Research and Ethics committee at Danat Al Emarat Hospital, Abu Dhabi. Tracy is also the chair for the Advanced Practice and Professional Development Council. She is also a BFHI task force member. Tracy currently is on the task force for pathways to excellence. Dr Tracy is a registered nurse and a certified Advanced Midwife and has been awarded with a DBA, MBA, M.Sc. Healthcare management, and has a Master of Applied Business Research; she is a qualified hypnobirthing instructor and has a diploma in Aromatherapy, Herbalist, Reflexology and Naturopathy. Completing her public health degree in 2021. Tracy has a registered Midwife License with DoH. Tracy was awarded with the nightingale award for the best admin HOD who support Nurses in 2020. Tracy is an adjunct lab instructor at Fatima College. She has a great passion for quality midwifery care, emergencies and pioneered all the first private hospital water births in KZN South Africa. Tracy is also a certified BLS, NRP instructor, as well as a PROMPT instructor. She is an invited faculty member or the PROMPT foundation in the United Kingdom. Tracy currently works hand in hand with quality department and has produced programs on quality initiative and evidence based workshops. Reviewing incidences and gaps to generate education prospects. She has produced over 13 online courses and currently runs 16 courses within the hospital setting accredited as category 1 with DoH. Tracy has been the primary researcher for 4 research projects with a publication. Two nursing research projects have been produced in the hospital in the last 2 years. She has also been instrumental in getting accreditation for student activities with DoH at the intermediate level.
